Message: Not looking good for Ayar Labs

Thx B&C

Celestial 1-0 over Ayar (goal scored by Poet Technologies)

I would like to highlight a question after the deal with Celestial was announced.....

6. Does POET Starlight result in cost savings over other solutions?

Yes. While pricing of POET Starlight has yet to be determined, POET knows that it will offer Celestial AI savings of up to 75% over what’s currently available from other light source suppliers. POET can provide that incredible cost reduction because of the elegance of the POET Optical Interposer, which has a drastically lower bill of materials and reduced capital expense requirements.

I bolded the important part, Poet knows that Ayar Labs is using Sivers photonics light sources with those pesky expensive laser arrays as was pointed out in previous posts here on Agora and by Raju in his interview (it's also public information.) Poet is basically calling out Sivers (and Ayar Labs) as well as others in the space currently who are supplying light sources to whomever with the statement that they're 75% cheaper than what's currently available.

Celestial 2-0 (poet scores again)

Poet will be a dominant player when the customers do their math and start ordering samples. The best part is, no one is really selling into this market as the ecosystem in not ready yet, but when it is, Poet will have the solutions ready in hand and the cost and power savings will make it have (we hope) exponential growth in the hottest market in the world!

Bottom line

Poet 3-0 over all light source providers (hat trick scored by Suresh Venkatesan)
