This is a random pharmacist suggesting the rumour is Apple have a solution like this in a year??

They haven't a clue what Apple are working on.  Let alone timelines.  So assuming that it couldn't be POET, based on the year timeline is silly.  As is raising one's hope that we're working with Apple on a solution, ready anytime in the near future.  

One thing we've all learnt is.  Very few rumours on here have been accurate.
