But it seems to me, if you are flagging them as violations, and you are doing so without their consent, that's just manipulation of the posting process to control some else's contributions/content.

You can argue that once someone's posted something publicly it is a matter of public record, I guess, but it is still circumventing the system in place to deny them the ability to control their own content.
