Rather than talk about a takeover why not think about a strategic partner to take a minority but significant position in the company ( not a JV ) who brings synergistic qualities.

Rather than take aim at the individuals of the management team, engage the expertise and synergies of the partner throughout the organization.

Obviously such an alternative materially changes the organizational structure of the company, it's decision making processes etc but the probability of achieving roadmap milestones go up not to mention market perceptions.

Simplistic view but I would rather go that route versus more financings than bring in larger numbers of shareholders. In this manner there is just one shareholder added but there would be added value provided to existing shareholders.

However, the challenge is, is there such a potential partner ready, willing and able AND is Poet prepared to go forward with what would be less control.
