The uninformed? Seriously, Baba, sounds like a euphemism for the naive and uneducated. I don't believe it.
This type of movement has had multiple dress rehearsals over the years and specifically in the past few months, open an ATM, close an ATM, "refresh" an ATM, suspend an ATM, introduce new offering(s) on two fronts?
What happened each time? Between the margin calls, as Royalton generously shared, and the company's "walk of shame" approach to capital markets, the "uninformed" were fed into the cattle shoots and the long time players laughed all the way to the bank. And this last one was the easiest money by far for them, thanks to the absence of any communication from the company.
Guaranteed, if Michael Lebby said "We have more than a dozen products ready to bring to the market, but we need capital now", he'd have a huge retail response and multiple 8 digit deals on his desk by noon the next day. Wonder what the difference is.
One final thing I will note, stock message boards are a toxic mix of groupthink, affirmation, manipulation, misdirection and disinformation. This one has won awards for all of these. While I've tried to maintain objectivity on posts on various boards, I know I have contributed to the faults I have described and it ends today.
In the end, investment is always about the numbers, and time. They measure, they indicate sustainability and stability. The hype and brilliance of the technology are no more than eye candy. And time is "a-wastin' ".
Now I just need to learn my own lessons, I've flunked this class far too often.
