This is speculation on my part: 

* maybe the appointment of this new director could be tied-in to a financing

funding an acquisition or merger?

 

Since Poet is in a blackout period, the silence for the past few weaks might

be related to the dotting of the i's and crossing the t's. Once the ink dries,

it becomes official and an announcement is made.
