As always, there is always a tell when it comes to pending disaster, and for me that tell was the fact that the share price NEVER, EVER, reacted in line with what Suresh et al were claiming. 

that was the red flag that I wish I had acted upon. 

my prediction is we drift for the next few months, maybe gain some financing, diluting or not, but in the end the white flag will be raised and POET is taken out for pennies.
