Message: The Future is beyond bright

This says loudly to me that there are lots of things he'd like to say but are under ironclad NDA rules and are not ready to announce until the time is right. In the meantime, POET's share price suffers, but those in the know at POET are confident and moving forward. The signal I see from the small raise is that they are sure of something soon.

The past missteps and delays are part of business, particularly true in the startup world.

Suresh has targeted a subcontractor role for POET that enables all the specialty packages to incorporate it into their wares. POET has done the heavy lifting of creating a CMOS solution that can be customized ad infinitum, with amazing waveguides, TSV tech, and the other stuff that allows their partners to focus on what they bring (lasers, modulators, fabrics).

This approach takes longer and is frankly kind of boring to typical investors, but it has a staying power akin to MSDOS or Qualcomm's chips.
