My take on this is that they need alternate solutions and competition. It's a basic risk mitigation strategy for any company. They don't want to be fully dependent on any one option. Market competition is healthy but it may challenge the thought of POET being a sole source solution for Celestial. Also speaks to how fast they see the technology moving.
