POET's optical interposer is an integration technology. Suresh is totally convinced that industry will settle on an optical interposer technology to enable the combining of the best devices available as they become available. The POET platform as we know it, has evolved significantly over the past couple years to provide solutions that can't be matched in existing systems. There is however some really groundbreaking stuff happening. Will they have 100G EMLs available for demonstration? Maybe. 200G EML…too soon I think. One of their module partners will also be at OFC. And for the record the module designs are really important when you get into the power levels that are required to push so much data out of such a small footprint.
