For the first time since Suresh joined POET, they are at the leading edge of engine deployment.  It has been a journey but they are finally in the reckoning. 

This in an era of unprecedented customer concentration at the top.  A few companies dictate the fate of the industry.  It has become a winner take all industry in a very short span of time.  Finally - they are beginning to be relevant in that conversation. 

As we now know POET is in discussions to license the technology that they have developed. It has become increasingly evident that the ability to package very high density optics with state of the art electronics has the attention of industry. Power hungry applications require a solution for continued growth and POET has reached a level of development that is capturing the attention of those “few companies that dictate the fate of industry”.

POET was reported as one of the only companies to present 200G lambda with a form factor that enables a 1.6T in a pluggable. The small form factor is such that it makes this a straight shot to 3.2T. 

It should be very apparent that POET’s Optical Interposer platform has now reached a level of perfection that has generated interest to license the technology. This will allow for an accelerated deployment to meet industry needs. POET is too small to do the heavy lifting required in the time frame to meet the objectives of the big players. POET  is now being recognized as an attainable solution with low CAPEX and mature tools to put production lines in place quickly.

This really can become a Cinderella story.
