Simple.  David is a founder and entrepreneur.  This type of person doesn't remain an employee for long.  Be happy that he joined Poet for some time and made it better.

He founded Intermolecular in 2004 and sold to Merck for $62 Million in 2019.  

Some seed money and Celestial Ai founded in 2020.  See some dot connecting - this really isn't that difficult.  You likely could have figured this out on your own.

Coin like that gets you meetings with big players.  He knew what Poet had and had the vision to create something no one had imagined.  He's a trailblazer wanting to create his own destiny.  We are not subserviant - we are partners and suppliers to his vision for ONE aspect of what Poet will do in the future.  There is likely some other visionary working on LIDAR and Health related products where our tech will be transformative.

We should count oursleves lucky that we had him for the time we did.
