The move to the Nasdaq was questioned by many here at the time and the suggestion of going to the TSX first never materialized.  It was all about tapping into all those patiently waiting institutional investors with a reverse split that got us well above $5.00 US .  What could go wrong ?  In hindsight it would have been a better move as listing on the Nasdaq has been a disaster so far.
