Message: Foxconn Technology to Invest $551 Million in Vietnam Projects

Thanks for reproducing that article about Foxconn investments in Viet Nam, nodrog16.

"A key driver has been multinational firms' efforts to implement so-called China+1 strategies to reduce their reliance on China..."

POET's own commitment to "China+1", more like "China+More", has been acknowledged by our CEO and is an important goal to "reduce" our own "reliance on China".

It isn't a divorce from Super Photonics Xiamen (SPX) at all.

I think of it as something akin to a commitment to Polygamy by POET and, instead of just having one wife, it has been replaced by the expansion of POET's corporate definiton of marriage to something more consistent with an unlimited number of spouses in our economic future.

Viet Nam and Singapore are now being more like "Sister Wives" to China's Fujian Province, in an economic sense.

POET investors still have the luxury to anticipate that someday we will all receive wedding invitations to expand POET's adventure into Polygamy when POET announces it engagement to the United States and signifies that engagement with the establishment of a manufacturing center within the confines of the borders of the U.S.  Now that would be a polygamous relationship worth waiting for, eh?

No doubt polygamy will bring its own set of difficulties to include the possibility of sister-wife jealousy, but in the case of the economic future for POET Technologies it appears that the advantages of plural marriage may have distinct geopolitical and stability factors that decrease the risk versus maintaining only one or two wives.

Having only one wife or two (Singapore and Xiamen) might someday result in some level of duplicity by the Chinese wife who openly waltzes with her husband and the next day joins the Conga line with the CCP occupying the lead dog position in that line.  In that second situation there is no guarantee that the Conga line's ultimate destination will be in alignment with the best interests of the husband, although it goes without question that it's direction will be beneficial to the CCP.

When you have only one or two wives and the one wife dances with two different partners close together in time, this would present a potential with much more risk for the husband ( POET Technologies) as opposed to having  to apportion his marital duties amongst a bevy of beauties, such as now has been achieved.

The viscisitudes of the Conga line are now less of an encumbrance to the husband since his marital duties are spread more thinly and allow him an abundance of "options".

Polygamy seems to fit POET much better!

Bottom Line:  "The more the merrier".

Thanks POET and Thank You, nodrog16!

Onward throgh the FOG!
