Message: NVIDIA connection

I know there has been more than enough dot connecting here over the years, but this one jumped out at me in today's new presentation and is hard to ignore.

On Slide 10 it says Poet Wavelight Optical module --> Direct to AI clusters.  So who is the largest AI cluster manufacturer in the world?  Thanks to ChatGPT (no irony there right), it is NVIDIA

---------------------------------------------------

The largest AI cluster manufacturers in the world currently include:

  1. NVIDIA: They lead the market with their GPUs and AI hardware solutions, widely used in data centers and for AI training. Their latest GPUs, such as the A100 and H100, are specifically designed for large-scale AI tasks.

  2. Meta (Facebook): Meta has developed custom AI hardware like the Kings Canyon AI Research SuperCluster (RSC), optimized for large-scale AI model training, supporting various AI initiatives including content recommendation, speech and image recognition, and virtual reality applications (Engineering at Meta).

  3. IBM: Known for their AIU (Artificial Intelligence Unit) and Telum processors, IBM's chips are designed for high-performance AI workloads, particularly in their Watson.x generative AI platform (SEO.AI).

  4. Cerebras Systems: They are notable for their Wafer-Scale Engine (WSE) series, offering some of the largest AI chips ideal for large-scale AI models in research and scientific computing (SEO.AI).

  5. Graphcore: Their Intelligence Processing Unit (IPU) is specifically designed for large-scale AI training and inference workloads, demonstrating their commitment to high-performance AI solutions (SEO.AI).

  6. SambaNova Systems: Focused on software-defined hardware, SambaNova offers the Reconfigurable Dataflow Processing Unit (RDPU) for efficient AI training and inference across various applications (SEO.AI).

  7. Google: With their Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), Google has developed custom AI hardware that powers their vast array of AI services, including search algorithms, language translation, and more (SEO.AI).

These companies are at the forefront of AI hardware development, providing the infrastructure necessary to support advanced AI research and applications globally
