At present, the company's 100G CWDM4 transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) optical engines have been mass-produced ; 400G/800G receiver (Rx) optical engines have also entered mass production, of which 800G 2×FR4 Rx OE has begun batch shipments to strategic customers. The optical engine uses a flip-chip process to attach lasers and detectors to Interposer for passive coupling. Customers can also choose to integrate electrical chips such as TIA or driver chips into OE , and connect them to detectors or lasers through the leads of the interposer to avoid wire bonding, which is beneficial to the integrity of RF signals. This is more and more valuable for high-speed signals, and it is easier to achieve 3D packaging and optoelectronic integration. Based on the flexible optical engine platform, Xiamen Chaoguang will release a 400G transmitter OE based on a single wavelength 100G , a complete set of 800G OE solutions consisting of two 400G transmitters and 800G receivers , and a single-wavelength 200G four-channel 800G transmitter, which consists of two four-channel 800G transmitters and a single- wavelength 200G eight-channel 1.6T receiver, and a complete set of 1.6T OE solutions . Some new products have been unveiled at the OFC exhibition in March . According to customer needs, the company can also make customized designs on the Interposer platform and jointly develop with customers.
In the first quarter of 2024, global shipments of high-speed data communication optical modules exceeded 3 million units, mainly driven by strong demand for 400GbE/800GbE optical modules, with shipments increasing by more than 25% quarter-on-quarter .
