IMO - the purer/clearer the data are at the wavelight is transported the easier it can be substratcted again from this - simple thought.

Short said : the less frenquency noise the less the effort for data processing

And thus with less effort for processing this - may be just with a frequence filter - the raw data will get back easy.
A DSP is/would be no longer necessary

And altogether a closer frequence spacing would be also achieve easier (?)
