The Orion is intended for all the countless applications that perform quite well in an aggregated system where there is no impact to performance. Should the workload increase, simply add more Orions to the cluster. Also, Orions will be physically identical (scale) where the only customization is to the algorithms for each customer's application. For most applications, a StarLight Quad would be adequate where only four OEs are required.
The customized PF applications for hyperscalers will increase OE requirements with StarLight Octal competed with 16 and 32 lane versions somewhere down the road.
In the long run it could very well be that the number of applications suitable for Orions could add up to more OEs sold than PF systems to the hyperscaler. Who cares?
