Jets,

My quick take,

I've done some researcn all 3 companies since they play in a similar space and are always mentioned as up and comers in the future data transfer space.

Avicena Tech,

Positives; good tech using low power led light for data transfer, now up to 30m distance from 10m. Less issues with coupling light.

Neg; have no partnerships with big companies as of yet,  are limited by data speed transfer 10gps per led and only good for short reach as even 30m is a short distance

Lightwave Logic,

Positives; high speed low voltage data transfer is a big plus, they make polymers that seem to last longer which coat optical devices (modulators).

Neg; no large manufacturers have taken them up yet, overcoming the stigma of polymers may still be against them, they seem to be a future bet on future high speed transfer like 400g per lane (vs TFLN) which is still 3-5 years out, it seems 200g per lane lasers seem to be going with Electro Absorption Modulators (see Mitsubishi even using them at 400) so they may miss this market completely.

Poet Tech,

Positives; WLP integration of best of breed components on their Optical Interposer, speed agnostic as we've seen with the Mitsubishi deal, many large manufacturers aligned with the best AI companies in the world are taking up Poet to sample now for 800-1,6T as well as light sources for CAI.

Neg; still waiting for the sales to hit the books and stretch the remaining 30 million in the bank. Need to outsource outside of China for some clients.

I don't think the award matters as much because the market is speaking and aligning itself to Poet with all these deals they've just signed last 6 months.

I liken it to Aaron Rodgers can win MVP every year.....but Tom Brady gets the Super Bowls
