Message: Broadcom 200G/lane press release, innolight and competition

https://www.broadcom.com/company/news/product-releases/62491

Interesting press release and timing from Broadcom.

A few juicy quotes, whether this is direct competition or not, are good signs for POET.

"Broadcom’s Sian2 and Sian DSPs are optimized for 800G and 1.6T optical module platforms and deliver unmatched performance by doubling the bandwidth with lower power, lower latency and lower cost per bit to facilitate AI data center scale."

“AI market leaders will start ramping optical modules using 200G/lane in 2025,” commented Dr. Vlad Kozlov, CEO and Chief Analyst at LightCounting. “There is a race for dominance in AI fueling a demand for delivery in excess of 1M units of 1.6T optical transceivers within the first 12 months. We have never seen new products ramping at such rate.”

CAI is partnered with Broadcom if memory serves, or am I mistaken?

does POET have any connection to InnoLight or Eoptolink?

The latest Zack's report signaled that innolight and eoptolink and coherent use less sophisticated technologies. And are likely the leading suppliers to nvidia.

"They use conventional, less fully integrated technology platforms that require active alignments, use more power, and are less efficient. POET expects that its customers will be able to take market share from those three suppliers over time."

do we think CAI is using Broadcom and POET together?

can someone with better handle on the technical specifics elaborate on the specs Broadcom mentions in the release and how they compare to POET? Ie are we sub 28w for 1.6tb transceiver ?
