There are are a variety of network sizes from small to hyperscaler. The small ones have smaller bandwidth requirements. A hyperscaler manages a network of networks where the maximum available bandwidths are in demand. These longer distance bulk transfers of data utilize the DWDM protocol. POET has no current products using it  but with Mitsubishi that should change. The OI platform covers all wave division multipliexing schemes.
