POET relationship with CAI is not unlike any other potential supply agreement. It's purely transactional. CAI may opt to use multiple light sources depending on the configuration of client needs. POET's may be the first available, but as any company would do, CAI will decide based on need, cost etc. StarLight might be used in prototypes, but if they are still more than a year from production, they may seek alternative options. 

To speculate on whether it's competitive, or a moat, or just precautionary is fruitless.
