I see where you are wanting to go with this idea...however, I feel there is merit in some of the items you consider off topic.

I do not consider educated guesstimates or speculative connecting of dots to be OFF TOPIC.

The off topic forum has a whole lot of other content that is really just that...off topic completely.

I don't want to have to sift through that entire forum to find relevant content.

Maybe we need three forums! One for facts, one for related speculation/connection of dots and a 3rd for true off topic content including the recent childish banter that has been going on.

I used the off topic forum last week for instance to post a funny.
