corporate presention, slide 27 compares typical "complex" silicon PIC with their integrated InP PIC.  "Olcaro integrates all of the optical functions into tiny InP integrated components which eliminates the need for external amplifiers and lasers"  (my bold s).  Seems InP is gaining some serious traction.
