I just remembered this question - I guess it was in the 2016 AGM - to SV about the speed of GaAs-technology, and his statement that the speed is a given in the 100G networks. SV is a pro with his roots deep in GF. How could he be so "naive - or plain ignorant" to see the link to Moores law and data processing, the clock speed and the promisses we ceceived in the last years, the THM, the Empires Club? So was this just another smoke screen? Who knows...
