In deed there is an upward trend in gold/USD.

Just take care, as a big part of this trend is caused by the weakness of the USD (and I guess I know the reason for this pity :-)

gold price USD/oz: now: 1342 Sept.peak: 1348 Apr.peak: 1294 (+4%)

gold price EUR/oz: now: 1094 Sept.peak: 1124 Apr.peak: 1211 (-10%)

Well, the USD lost about 15% vs. the EUR since April...
