Sadly, I agree with you.  I don't know if the players involved will be able to put together the global government they want or whether they will be the ones to run it, but I think the devestation of the world's economy is going to be very real.  Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, be right with your God.  Being as ready as you can be for hard times is a good idea in light of what is going on.
