Just to clarify-the meaning of hell is actually quite simple.
The Hebrew word for 'hell' is Sheol
and the Greek word for 'hell' is Hades.
They both refer to the 'common grave of mankind'.
Ecclesiastes 9:5,says'that the dead are conscious of nothing at all.'
Romans 6:7,says,'that one who has died has been acquitted of sin.'
1john 4:8,says 'God is love.'
all these passage's strongly support that hellĀ is not a place of torment but just a common grave.
in fact when the kings of Judah offered their children in the fire, God was disgusted at this practice and even said this did not even enter his mind.
