Recent e-mail to Pelangio:
Hello,
Just as a preface, I am a current shareholder of Detour Gold, and Pelangio Mines, as well as PDX resources (only as a result of the spinoff). Looking for some bargains in the junior mining exploration companies (have shares in about 20 or so already, including Osisko, Hughes Exploration Group and some of the "Ring of Fire" companies) and I am considering picking up some additional shares of PDX. I am aware that PDX holds 1 million shares of Detour Gold. Obviously, one ideally would like to hold off on liquidating these shares (at their current SP of $5.19 CDN as of 10/18/2008), until one sees some appreciable SP appreciation. My question is thus, has PDX sold off any of these shares while the SP of Detour Gold was in the $10 range? What is the current management plan for the financing of ongoing exploration? Is there talk about a private placement or alternative forms of funding, or will management slow down the rate of exploration/ "burn rate" until such time that the SP of Detour Gold appreciates to a point that it will be reasonable to liquidate a measured amount of Detour Gold shares? In these times of "credit crises", does PDX plan on addressing these issues publically formally on their website or otherwise.? (just recently watched a video clip from the President of Avalon Ventures, which served a similar purpose.) . Thank you in advance for your time.
Sincerely,
M.L.
