12:39 PM EST, 11/20/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Premier Gold Mines (PG.TO) was up nearly 2% after the company on Wednesday said its Greenstone Gold Mines joint venture signed a long-term relationship agreement (LTRA) with the Aroland First Nation, Animbiigoo Zaagi'igan Anishinaabek and Ginoogaming First Nation as it moves forward on development of its Hardrock mining project in northern Ontario.
Premier said the agreement was an "important milestone" towards final investment decision on the mining project it co-owns with Centerra Gold (CG.TO). It did not say when that decision will be made.
The LTRA sets out environmental participation, business and employment opportunities and financial benefits for the three First Nations.
The company's shares were last seen up C$0.02 to C$1.91 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
