Welcome to the Pretium Forum.

This is the first day that Pretium (PVG) is trading on the TSX.

Opened at 5.95, current High/Low are $6.00/5.75.

Currently trading at $5.95 and 1.2M shares traded.

Since the IPO was for $6.00, this indicates a fairly lukewarm reception for the shares.

This is a stock that should be considered quite speculative.

While the company has a very solid resource alrady established, there are many potential pitfalls between here and commercial profitability.

I like this stock, but we should be very clear that this is not a stock to stake your fortunes on - unless you are a risk-taker of the highest order.

There are some real positives though.

1. Led by Robert Quartermain - who led Silver Standard up until recently.

2. No need to find a resource, it is already there, and large.

3. The current financial environment regarding the value of Au and Ag.
