Pretium Resources Sees No Impact of Pandemic on Q1 Gold Production
06:23 AM EDT, 04/02/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Pretium Resources (PVG) said pre-market Thursday that the COVID-19 pandemic did not impact its gold production operations or supply chain in Q1.
The mining firm said that it took steps to safeguard the health and safety of workers while ensuring continuity of business operations at its Brucejack mine in British Columbia. As a result, all capital projects and expansion drilling have been placed on hold. The company will also prioritize gold production over development.
Dore and flotation concentrate sales were also proceeding as planned without any disruptions to date, according to Pretium.
