There are many good sources on the net to get a LOT of info on shorting if you GOOGLE it. In short(sorry) you borrow shares from someone in the hopes they go down in price and buy them at a lower price. IF they go down you win if they go up you are stuck paying the higher price and you lose your"SHORTS" literally.
