LATIN AMERICAN MINERALS INC.

It might be of interest to compare pace of news between these guys drilling in Paraguay with a drill program started Mon, Oct 29.

They just released News Dec 18 that Twelve drill holes totaling 1,980 meters have been completed of the planned 5,000 meter diamond drill program.  Drill holes have been drilled between 57 and 310m deep, perpendicular to the main NW mineralized zone. All holes intersected quartz-carbonate veins at variable depth from 40 to 250m. The drill core has been logged, sampled and sent to Alex Stewart Laboratories for analysis. Results are expected in January.  You can pick apart the news at link below.

How long does metallic screen assay techniques take (Latin American news release implies perhaps 6 weeks; based on if they sent them now and will get results by end of January).

This is the timeline related part in that news release that is interesting as it seems to have something in common to Kodiak (remember that Kodiak has been waiting for rushed metallic assay results on 28 core samples exceeding 5 gpt since at least the Oct 22 news release timeframe); LATIN AMERICAN MINERALS INC. reported similarly that due to the presence of coarse gold in the drill core, Alex Stewart Laboratories has suggested that metallic screen assay techniques be used. This preparation technique separates the sample in fractions by size and analyzes the coarse and fine fractions by standard Fire Assay methodology. Assay results are expected in January, since the preparation technique required to deal with coarse gold takes more time than standard preparation technique.
