The last results are positive in spite of that the average grade is lower than those previously reported. From the last reported data, I get an average grade of 4.9 g/tonne and an average width of 1.09 m.
Traditionally to make an undeground mine profitable, I have used a rock value of 50$/tonne. With gold above 750 $/ounce (or about 25$/gram), 4.9 g Au/tonne gives us a rock value of about 120 $/tonne. All previous NR's have Au contents higher. So the values found to date are all in my mine encouraging.
Other positives are that they show gold mineralization down to 300 m, they are finding stacked veins, and at Marino the width increases with depth.
"Mr. Bill Chornobay, President, adds: "We continue to intersect gold mineralization in virtually every drill hole, regardless of which structure or how deep we test. That is a strong indication of the intensity of gold mineralization within this large system"
So in my view there seems to be lots of mineralization with the characterisitcs of about 0.8 to 1.1 m width and grades of about 4 to 20 g/tonne(previous NR's). This together with the frequency and intensity of new vein discoveries make me confident in that this indeed will prove to be an economic discovery.
