Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
I have just recently joined this board. I attended the PDAC and had a brief chat with Bill Chornobay and sat trhough the presentation by Brian Maher.
I am glad i was able to attend as it helped confirm my personal thoughts on the potential of KXL. Here are my personal views:
1) Kxl is focused on exploration and will not transition the business to Operations. Although the mining business is high risk, the potential upside reward is significant but will require patience and time. The question at Kxl is not about focusing on a 43-101, the investment community as well as the Kxl management team need to answer is 'how big is the potential'. As clarity improves around this questions so well the stock value
2) The Kxl assets are the envy of the industry. Solid balance sheet, huge land and dominant land position in a province that absolutely supports the Mining industry. It would be interesting to take a survey of all the exhibitors today at teh PDAC and ask them how many have $50 million in cash in the bank, strong geoloy team and strong management team. Kxl seems to have it all. What we need is time and patience and for the retail investor is at times tough to do.
3) Given the 2008 60,000M drilling program and an additional 30 targets to be tested, I would suspect that the news will conitnue to flow on a regular basis. We will need to temper our expectations and not expect each news release to show high grade gold but we will need to understand how the information fits into answering the bigger question' how big is the potential' . WE need to remember the purpose of the drilling program is to understand what exactly is underground.
4) The Kxl story will unfold over the next 12 to 18 months not 12 to 18 days so again patience will be required to give the Kxl team the time to determine the potential. Given the 1400 sq Km land package i have to believe statiscally, the probability of discovery is on our side.
