If you ever get to Sacramento California or Reno, Nevada let me know and I'll see if my geologist friend wouldn't mind taking you into the 16-1 mine for some adventures in Allegheny, California. He owns a small house close to the mining office where he stays when he is working up there. The mine has produced over a million ounces of gold over its 100 year plus history and is currently still being worked.
