Keeping in mind that Kodiak knew about Sleeping Giant for months prior to the Jan 8, 2008 press release (they indicated that although drilling had taken many months earlier, little focus was placed on getting the results), their push to stake everything in site from Hercules to Geraldon before that news release tells a story.
This is all in support of posts below (Posted by: quackaphobe on June 12, 2008 11:31PM), gabbro/gabbroic komatiite body and the Sleeping Giant information as it applies to Hercules area.

While this NR from Jan. 08 didn't excite the market, the fact that it is komatiitic in nature implies just how large the system could be.
Excerpt from Jan/08 NR:
The significant width and grade of mineralization at the Sleeping Giant, combined with large geophysical anomalies,suggest it is part of a much larger base metal system.
The Sleeping Giant zone extends for at least 200 metres along strike and is open in all directions. The mineralized zone is associated with series of geophysical anomalies that extend for a strike length of at least three kilometres, indicating the system is much more extensive. Mineralization occurs in a gabbro/gabbroic komatiite body that hosts disseminated, semi-massive to massive sulphides consisting of pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, pyrite, and possibly chromite.
