The gold-quartz vein system at the Orphan Gold project is known to exceed 2.5-kilometes in length and occurs near the edge and within the Kaby Lake stock intrusive body, and is not unlike the geological setting of Kodiak Resources’ Hercules project and Golden Mile discovery, situated 9.5-kilometes to the west.

In the fall of 2007 Mantis completed a trenching program along the Foisey vein system. Gold values of up to 0.369 ounces per ton were obtained from channel cuts.
