Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
Maybe instead of "Lock up your shares" you meant "Grasping at straws". I can understand the desire to blame shorts for the KXL stock price drop, but it's not reasonable.
Recent stats: shorts = 0.
Here is the official data on KXL shorts
Ditto for the KXLAF in the US.
At these prices, there's not much incentive for anyone to short. The shorts on KXL have been pretty consistently smart, and they shorted at $5 and $3 (before this much gold was proven). Not as 98 cents.
The price of KXL is down due to the general markets being down. The drop in KXL pretty well matches the drop in the TSX Venture exchange.
There is nothing wrong with KXL. In fact, I have a hunch that the next time drill results get released (not holding my breath), some of them will be eye-poppingly good as well as some in surprising areas.
People are selling KXL shares, same as any other shares, either because they are deperate for cash (e.g. margin call) or because they are (rightfully) terrified.
I trust wise old sages like Warren Buffett, who said two years ago that the market needs to drop - and further than it has dropped so far. It will keep dropping until prices make sense again. Earning are set to plummet, and eventaully (P/E) prices will once again be the historical average of 15 times earnings. But, of course, 15 times much lower earnings than now. The economy itself will drop over the next 6 months or so - first stock market, then economy. The stock market will pick up again before the economy does. Property prices will be back up again to where they were before, by 2023.
Long, long before then the pressure on the major miners to mine new gold properties will cause them to act in buying a piece of KXL.
I was too optimistic recently when I pegged the gold in the ground at KXL at $150/oz. Recently, gold in the ground has been $40/oz. But it will go back up to $100/oz easily, and at either $40 or $100 our SP is still many dollars undervalued and oversold. Even then, none of the KXL story will proceed to the next chapter overnight.
Me, I have sold none and I bought KXL today. I voted with my wallet.
I'm working to remember the other good things in life I did before looking at stock prices too much! The sun still shines and the jam on my toast tasted just as good as it did yesterday. KXL represents value.
all best to the KXL schlongs / cedar
