Happy New Year KXLers! Hope all had a merry Christmas.

And yes, there is a hint of optimism in the air. I can't speak for everybody, but portfolios are moving upwards. And even if this is only a small X-Mas rally, I think we should stay upbeat. No reason for panicking or whining. We are all down so Suck It Up! Panic helped exacerbate the problems - so don't panic!

I bought some KXL about a week ago. Thought I could buy and sell for a small profit (and they have appreciated nicely). But I'm gonna hold onto these shares. Still like this company. My opinion has not changed since March.

Even good old Bow Valley is showing signs of life. Insert Gleeful boasting HERE...

My little X-Mas purchase of BVX is up 217%!

Hell yeah I'm optimistic! We invest to become more affluent than we were. We invest in the stock market 'cause we enjoy the thrill. If we didn't want ups & downs we would all be in GICs. PLUS, there is no Agoracom hub for GICs. How would I get to converse with all of you!!!!

Be very well KXLers. 2009 is going to be a roller coaster. Enjoy the ride.

And for my closing remarks. Team Canada plays Team USA in tomorrow's World Junior Hockey Tournament. I will be watching from an airplane seat. I hope all of you will be watching as well. Sorry to our American friends, our boys will prevail.
