By the way, that doesn't necessarily mean "open pit" - open pit expenses can be very high.
Other factors are location (canada = best probably), first nations (well handled by KXL, but look at Osisko's problems), nearby mills, transportation, power, also understandable geological structure - means that the resouce can probably be expanded easily.
KXL has done a great job of understanding the West Geraldton structure - it had been a mystery.
