"Increased volume to the downside in this environment this week will tell the tale. IMO"...

Completely agree... that's been my concern... companies do not typically go down on increased volume when good news (i.e. deep drill assays) is coming... must make the thought of sub-par results cross everyones mind IMO... all the talk of the NI 43-101 in 'early 2010' also has me suspicious... why talk about NI 43-101 in early 2010 so much when you have deep drill results, which everyone knows the market has been dying to see for some time, to be released within a matter of days/weeks?... you probably wouldn't unless you knew the pending results would not speak for themselves.... would you?

I hope I am wrong but unless volume and price start to reverse, and fast, I would bet next results will bring us down further. Like fdrake said... POG at record highs... 95% of 'gold' stocks... explorers and producers... green as of late... 2007 Discovery of the Year is in a downward trend with deep drill holes pending... not good IMO.

Comparison?... look at area explorer ONT-t... 130 million shares out... last time they released news was in July... recently announced adding a 3rd to speed up exploration... ONT-t share price has moved up from 25 cents to 40 cents since last assays in July... very thinly traded despite large float with fews asks... IMO you can rest assured the next set of results will move the sshare price up even more... the signs are there... KXL has a much lower float and is likely more tightly held than ONT-t yet with highly anticipated deep holes pending and POG at record highs it is moving down... like I said not good but again I hope I am wrong...

The only 2 things that have me holding onto some hope that I am wrong was volume and price spike on July 21st... and gradual move up on increased volume in early September... what cause these moves up?... Completely possible cores and results from these deep holes are being very tightly guarded (as they should be) and KXL will indeed... halt... and surprise the market... I hope...
