The wikipedia description doesn't provide a lot of usefull information. I find the NI43-101 reports issued by companies have a lot more detail. To get some insight about the hole spacings required for the different resource categories you could look at :

Slide 10 has some useful numbers. In response to your earlier question I tried using the Kodiak long section contour values to calculate a gold estimate. My estimate came to about 300,000 Au Oz but I don't know if my conversion of the gram*meter values was correct.
