Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
Excellent q's wavemaster.
You're not getting emailed the NR's? I get every one of them 3 times - direct from Kodiak, from the filing outfit (thanks Portee for the connection!) and from somewhere else. Email IR and get back on the list if they dropped you
I don't think they have any plan to shed retail holdings. We are what provides liquidity. They are deeply unhappy about the low share price themselves - all Brian's stuff is underwater.
You are probably aware that there are some people from the past who acquired a lot of shares for very cheap - before the Hercules days. They would still profit when they do a share dump now, and it appears they've been doing that. But they'll run out of shares. From the nearly 7 million shares traded in the last 5 trading days, for every seller there has been a buyer. So somebodies are loading up. And the funds are loading up again. I too noticed the big share blocks trading. The PP was immediately filled and if the funds are interested I'd assume that would be them.
I remember being taught that retail always unloads at the bottom, whereas the smart money loads up there.
Gold is up and Kodiak is down. Some juniors have come back all the way, but most haven't (see posts I put in with charts a couple days ago). I think we had to shed the overpromotion and then disappointments. We probably have to shed some people who got a mountian of shares for 15 cents. And our results have been good but not blockbuster - a little help from the gold-gods would be nice, but hard to arrange.
Bulk tonnage - here is my guesstimates drawn out of thin air from my impressions from the talks I've been to:
low: 5000 tons at 12g/t average x 1oz/31g x $1000/oz = $1.5 million.
higher: 6000 tons at 15g/t average x 1oz/31g x $1200/oz = $3.5 million.
So it may or not pay its way but it would solidly demonstrate the mineability and it wouldn't hurt to see a gold bar or two come out of it
Milestone - per my figures, I thought 300k oz is pretty darn good for 400m of strike. If an additional 200m of strike is similar, that would be 1.8 million oz. Could be good. Will find out next year.
Sage - I am sympathetic to the Sage holders, which used to include me, but I don't see the value there. My personal opinion. Why they're always 1:10 with our price is an enduring mystery to me.
"If I buy more shares now, will they make me money?" - if you find a source for the answer to that email me :o). The $64,000 question. But we've bounced off our low pretty well, and the best time to buy is when people are gloomy. I put my money where my mouth is.
"Will anybody trust what management has to say anymore?" - that's a personal decision. If management changed nothing in what they're doing but the stock zoomed back to 0.80, I wonder if people would ask the same question. Management would have done nothing different, but our posts here would change.
I think our stock is down and people are in the dumps.
One main rule for me is "do the insiders eat their own cooking?" The insiders have put a lot of personal money in and are down themselves. So at least they're rowing their boat-oars in the same direction we are
Good post wavemaster.
