Kinross has had a fall in gold production, while its competitors like Goldcorp increase their output. Kinross needs assets and will continue shopping, like they just did buying their Kupol property for $360million in Russia at $172 an ounce (apparently planning to truck the ore 90km):

I wonder if Kinross might become a surprise buyer for Kodiak assets if a good-size block of ounces are sufficiently proven up.
