Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
Thanks for asking M - yes, I keep in touch with Coach247. He did hint during the market highs a couple years ago, as he wrote, that the stock "was ahead of itself". That was his hint at $5 and at $2.50, I didn't follow that warning, and I regret that.
He still thinks KXL has a good shot, so long as you understand that primarily it's an explorer, so is speculative (a 43-101 will lessen that a bit). He liked the on-site report I wrote, keeps up with Agoracom and his own site (smartinvestment.ca) and also wrote me recently, "I still own KXL, and a couple other similar stocks: ER and EXS, both of which are following high grade, narrow vein gold to try and prove up large deposits."
He was bitten by the general market collapse, same as so many of us were. I believe that he feels KXL is underpriced at these levels. Coach has a lot of irons in the fire, which is wise - I also diversified a bit, and of course I wish I'd done that more - included more producers, tech, etc.
I think the huge drop we had in 2008 when we got the "bad news release" hammered the stock down from the $2.50 level to sub-$1 - it was overdone, but unfortunately the release was terrible, really poorly crafted. Kodiak still has a ways to go in improving its communications - e.g. the recent options NR, issued by corp. lawyer, unfortunate text, terrible timing. It was clear at the AGM that this concern is getting heard by KXL - now we have to turn those better intentions into reality. We have to persist on this - that there is real stock-price-support value in carefully managing how information is bunched up and exactly how it's released. Perception is price, and the price is unneccesarily low.
Thanks for asking M. I believe explorationguy wrote that you're a geo - any insights from your side? By the way, reading the geological pdf that exguy posted, really great meaty stuff.
26 days til PDAC which if I recall is March 5. It's coming up fast now, and 100% we will (should) have news by then ...
