Is the NI..... report something that is compiled from existing information that the company forwards to an independant geologist?

It would seem to me in this computerized world we live in that once a person(the company) has the information and the appropriate program they would have an accurate idea of what the final result would be.

The independant person would be required to compile the finished product and then place their professional reputation on the line in signing off on same. Or am I way off base here.
