I used to be more in touch with the environmental issues, but I do believe a company has to submit a remediation plan when it applies for a mining license. That would go hand in hand with the environmental studies that, by law, must be done. Further, it must put aside money to fund the remediation when the mining is done.

Now, isn't it great that we already are discussing remediation and the effects our mining will have on the environment? Forget about finding enough gold and uranium - we're ready to mine it! If nothing else, it shows a wonderful optimism here.
