Premier Discovers Gold at Ontario Project
09 March 2010
Premier Gold said its drilling programme has discovered two gold zones at the company’s Hardrock project in north-western Ontario, Canada.
The 83 and 93 zones were discovered to the south of the main mined horizons in an area that was not previously drilled.
These new zones are within 200m of the surface, located west of, and to the south of, all previously mined zones at Hardrock.
The Hardrock project is operated under a joint venture with Goldstone Resources where Premier Gold owns a 70% interest in the project.
The project has been host to several mines, which collectively produced almost three million ounces of gold from depths within 600m.
The joint venture expects to complete more that 70,000m of drilling in 2010 after which a revised resource will be completed for the open pit and underground zones.
